1. Who We Are

SnapUploader ("we", "us", "our") operates the website snapuploader.com and related services. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google's OAuth response.

Snapchat OAuth tokens: When you connect your Snapchat account, we store your access token and refresh token encrypted in our database. These are used exclusively to make Snapchat API calls on your behalf. We also store your Snapchat user ID to prevent trial abuse.

Uploaded media: Files you upload are temporarily staged in Cloudflare R2 storage before being transferred to Snapchat. They are automatically deleted within 24 hours after successful transfer.

Upload history and presets: We store records of your uploads and saved campaign presets linked to your account.

Billing data: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — we never see or store full card numbers.

Usage data: We collect basic log data including pages visited, errors encountered, and API response times for debugging and service improvement.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the Service
• To authenticate you and maintain your session
• To transfer your media files to Snapchat on your behalf
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts)
• To prevent fraud and trial abuse
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the Service based on usage patterns

We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following third parties as necessary to provide the Service:

• Snapchat: Your access token and media files are transmitted to Snapchat's API to upload ads on your behalf
• Supabase: Our database provider stores your account data, tokens, and history
• Cloudflare: R2 storage temporarily holds uploaded files; Workers process transfers
• Stripe: Processes subscription payments and stores billing information
• Google: If you use Google Drive import or Google sign-in

All third parties are contractually bound to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded media files are deleted within 24 hours of successful transfer. If you cancel your subscription or your account is terminated, we retain your data for 30 days to allow recovery, then permanently delete it. Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal compliance.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage of sensitive tokens, row-level security on our database, and access controls limiting who can access production systems. However, no system is perfectly secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies to maintain your logged-in state. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled without breaking authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email support@snapuploader.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly via the Data Deletion page.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
